Maxine Maksin

	Maxine Maksin, 80, of Dowell, passed away at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 24, 2000 at St. Marys Hospital in Clayton, MO.
	Maxine had worked at Forrest City, Mallory and Intuition.  She attended the Christian Fellowship Church in DuQuoin.  She was a member of the ILGWU Local.
	She was born December 2, 1919 at Benton, the daughter of Leslie and Mary Nancy (Johnson) Ramsey.  She married John Maksin on March 13, 1937 at Wickliffe, KY and he preceded her in death on June 25, 1967.
	She is survived by four daughters, Sonja (Art) Harris of Belleville, Mary Lee (Bill) Keller of Springfield, MO, Sue (Bill) Keith of Dowell and Jinx (Edd) Fish of Centralia; one brother, Charles Ramsey of Taylorville; two sisters, Novella (Bill) Herman of Taylorville and Marcella (Clarence) Stamm of De Soto; nine grandchildren, Kevin (Tracy) Harris, Michael (Madonna) Harris, Todd (Christine) Harris, Christine (Jon) Keller Wolff, Timothy (Angie) Keller, Lance Keith, Scott Keith, Quentin Fish and Natalie Fish and four great-grandchildren, Amber Harris, Aubrey Harris, Jacob Harris and Aislinn Harris.
	She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 13 brothers and sisters.
	Funeral services were Friday, January 28 at 11 a.m. at Searby Funeral Home in DuQuoin with Rev. Percy Pavloff officiating.
	Friends were able to call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Searby Funeral Home in DuQuoin.
	Friends may make memorials to the Christian Fellowship Church.
